reviews, ramblings, and real life
View this post on Instagram . . I think I am genuinely the last person to have read this book. SO HERE YOU GO! Another review you don’t need, but I’m providing anyway! This book has been on my TBR for forever and @staxsonstaxs gifted me her copy. I saw another friend @sunsnacksseries mentioned she wanted to also read it, so I decided to bump it up my TBR so I can pass it along to her. She’ll be passing it along too, so it’s basically The Sisterhood of the Traveling Book, with #thehatinggametravels. For anyone who does already know, this book is about Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman who are arch nemesis and co-workers competing for the same promotion. They have hated each other since their two companies merged into one, and have clashed over how each does their job (Lucy is a people pleaser and Josh is incredible focused). One day, something Josh says has Lucy thinking about him in a different way, and he seems to be receptive. Next thing you know, you are reading one of the best Enemies to Lovers books you have ever read. There wasn’t much that I couldn’t love with this book, but what kept me from giving it a solid five stars was the fact that all of the hating at the beginning really seemed a bit much and some of the dialogue was random, but overall, this was a highly addictive read (another book that kept me up until 2 AM reading). If you’re a fan of Christina Lauren or Pride and Prejudice, this book is for you! If you read it, let’s chat, if you haven’t...WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING? Pick this up! Maybe ask Shar for a chance to have it after her! A post shared by Kaylee | Literary Pengwyns 🐧 (@literarypengwyns) on Jul 26, 2019 at 11:32am PDT
